WELCOME TO B.C.I.M.,s 2008 ICE FISHING TOURNAMENT WEBSITE !!
We have decided to once again have our 6th annual Ice Fishing tournament
at "The Nip" (Lake Nippenicket), Bridgewater, Mass. Last year was more than
enough reason to allocate The Nip" again as our lake of choice due to a super turn-out
and many pleased contestants who entered. Several quality fish were hurled from
the lake as the day went on and all were released back to be caught again. A
few to mention was our first place winner of the Bass category, a stunning 6.70
taken just minutes before the close of the derby, belonging to Steve O'Donnell of
Wareham, cashing in on 1200.00!!!! Another respectable mention came to us from
our youth entries which gave a happy Brittany Cestodio of Dighton, a
prize of 400.00
for her 4.14 Pickerel she landed to clinch first place.
The Nip always seems to attract fisherman of all sorts from early spring Bass boaters, to
summertime skiers and shoreline huggers. Most people that fish there can attest "The Nip"
provides good fishing, mainly largemouth bass and pickerel alongside a slew of panfish.
It is also very accessible both from the highway and parking areas all along the waterway.
This makes for an easy launch and park to go out and fish. This years farmers almanac has
stated again the presence of another cold winter to come!!! For all those who have
entered our annual derby, and those who plan on attending this year, we welcome you all
to the clubs 6th annual. Don't forget to bring your kids for a fun time on the ice
and enter them to win in our youth division kids FREE raffle.
WE HOPE TO SEE ALL OUR FRIENDS AND PAST CONTESTANTS
ONCE AGAIN THIS YEAR. GOOD LUCK AND FISH HARD!!!!!
*****ENTER EARLY AND WIN A TOURNAMENT TEE-SHIRT!!!!
